Claimant says:
"This Company sent me a check for $1,290.00 because I was interested in working from home. I called them at 1-760-305-9411 and told them I was interested. They told me to deposit the check and it would take 24 hours to clear. I waited an extra day to make sure it would clear. This morning I call the company for my first assignment. James (my coordinator) told me to go to either Rite Aid or K-Mart to check out the Western Union to make sure there was a sign outside and inside, then go in to send a western union to Thomas Coverson in Milton, Ontario Canada in the amount of $920.00, send it same day and that would cost an extra $86.00. The Rite Aide wasn't set up yet so I went to K-Mart. I thought I could use my debit card but I needed cash. I went to my bank to get the cash out and they told me that the check from "Quincey Credit Union" came back as a fraudulent check. I called the company back from the phone number they had on record and I got no answer. I then called them from my home phone and James answered. I explained to him what happened and he said it was not a scam. It is a scam he sent me a fraudulent check. I put the check in an account that didn't have a lot of money in it so any money I took out had to be theirs. If I had that much money in my account, I would be out of $1,006.00. I didn't lose anything in this deal, but they need to be checked out."
