Claimant says:
"I had an expensive gown stolen from me in July. It was in my locked car in front of my house. My car is insured, the residence is insured and I have a renters policy that covers valuable personal property. All insurance is with USAA. the stolen gown was a one of a kind, hand made and famous Valentino. The insurance company tried to deny the claim on the grounds they had paid for the gown after it sustained water damage last August 2014. The gown was cleaned at that time at their request. They recently asked for the cleaners receipt for this current claim which I provided. They then said they had to send information out to an appraiser to get a proper value of the gown after they said they were paying towards it. I have all their correspondence saying they were going to pay. It's my theory that the gown was valued very high after an appraiser valued it and they want to back out of paying the claim. The gown was stolen, I have the police report. Them paying for water damage last year has nothing to do with it being stolen now. These are two different claims for two sets of circumstances. After all this they sent me an e-mail saying they already paid for the gown. They paid for an existing gown to be repaired last year. It's a year later. The gown was stolen. Now it's totally gone. They have put up obstacles at every turn. I pay them to protect me. Why are they not protecting me?"
