Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I started a process with 1800 Remodel 855-808-8887 to put energy efficient for Soler and windows We started with the solar After I told them I would need to get some estimates from other companies they said they culd do it complete for $25K which was less than I had figured so I went aheadOne week later they cme back saying they would need to put more panels than originally thought an additional $4K they say they were needed to avoid me getting a large bill at the end of the year
1800 Remodel contracted a company in 8/2017 - Southwest Solar 323-932-9207 out of Southern Ca 200 miles south of Clovis At the end of the year in 8/2018 I got a bill for $2777. from PG&E PG&E also said they said they did not think the solar was turned on - my system was not returning anything to the grid
I called 1800 Remodel who had me include Southwest Solar and them and myself in a three way call eventually Southwest hung up on us 1800 Remodel called and paid Southwest to make a service call about three weeks ago they have not shown up to this day
I have made 2 instalment payments to PG&E to pay off the $2777. plus now an additional $444. for this past month
I am scheduled to start payments for the panels in November/2018 I can't afford pay both of these The Panels and PG&E 1800 Remodel said they thought this was Southwest Solars responsibility to cover this
1800 Remodel has stepped out of this and suggested that I get a lawyer to go after Soutwest Solar"

Respondent's Counteroffer Hide
The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • "Mr. Smith, 1800 Remodel is the company you have a contract with and whom is responsible to take care of their contractual obligations with you. Please note that 1800 Remodel subcontracted SouthWest Solar Inc to do your installation, and we take direction from them. As far as them paying us for service call, they paid and then disputed the charge, so it was left unpaid. The person who contacted our company for the service call was told that payment must be made in full, in order to issue any service calls, as their company currently has an outstanding balance with SouthWest Solar Inc. "
