Claimant says:
"In 2007 I bought two $229 oyster-type suitcases from Samsonite. I was assured that the cases each have a 10-year warranty but I could anyway expect many years of use from such a quality product. I alternated between the two suitcases when traveling as my wife didn't like them, making for light use.

Last year the hinge on one broke. I finally got the broken suitcase, along with the warranty info and original receipt, to a Samsonite corporate store--the closest one is two hours from my home. The case was shipped for repair but promptly returned to me still broken. The reason: the repair store would have fixed the hinge but didn't have the parts and the suitcase is no longer made.

This is completely unacceptable. Samsonite sold me a suitcase with a 10 year warranty. That warranty has a year to go.
