Claimant says:
"Purchased a 2002 Dodge Dakota on 8/10/18, I have the Title!
Upon picking up the vehicle with my dad, I noticed a noise and had him drive it and I drove his vehicle.
In a parking lot close to the auto dealer, the transmission felt like it dropped out of the car...My dad stated, the a.c. Blew a gasket and filled the cab in it’s entirety of Freon gas. It was raining profusely and my dad’s eyes burned from the exposure. I drove to the dealer immediately, as my dad sat at an intersection broken down, as the Dodge had no gears!
The sales person got in another vehicle, I drove with him to rescue my dad from a main road, where he was stuck blocking traffic.
When we got pulled back to the lot, the dealership promise to fix whatever was wrong.
We told them to keep the truck, as I had recently been accepted into a union and I needed something dependable, this vehicle wasn’t the truck for me!
We asked for our money back… The sales person said he needed to speak to the owner, who was out of town!
We took his word and left, with the understanding, someone would be in touch with us to swap the title for approximately $3800. We never got a call, so we called them… They said they would re-list the truck and once it’s sold they would refund the money. It has been over four months and they avoid our phone calls And put someone on the line that says the same thing every time I call!
“That the truck needs a part, as someone is interested in it” ! And someone will call us back with the details. We ask for the owner, but he always seems to be out at an auction and we never get return phone calls… I just want my money back!"
