Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On Friday, September 16, 2016 I went inside the Metro PCs store located at 15860 S. Kedzie Ave located in Markham, IL 60428 and spoke with the Manger, Izzo about paying a bill. Izzo explained to me that their system was down but it would be back up very shortly and he could simply put it in the so that when the system came back up it would just read the payment and send the confirmation of payment. That never happened! The phone actually went off on the 17th of September and when contacting Izzo, he assured me that it would be back on, well it didn't! On Sunday, September 18, 2016 I had to place another payment over the phone to have the phone service restored and it came right back on. I contacted Izzo via personal visit and he had me running back and forth up to the store with promises of giving me back my $63.00 which I believe now that he just pocketed, because had he actually paid the bill, he could have simply credited towards the phone for next month's payment, but he never did that either because he would have had to show that there had been a previous bill paid that never went through. Today is Saturday, September 24, 2016 I went to the Markham Police and had an officer accompany me to Metro PCs upon Izzo statement that morning to me, telling me since I was talking about going to file a complaint with the Markham Police he would only give the $63.00 to an officer not to me...Really?
He took my $63.00 and did not give me the service that I paid for and when I come to either get my money back to have that initial payment credited to the account for which I was paying for, He tells me that I was not getting my money unless I brought an officer up there with me and he gets angry with me...Really? Some nerves! Attached is the receipt on a pink sticky-note that he gave to me on Friday, September 16, 2016 because he stated that their system was down and below that is the second payment that I had to make over the phone to get the service restored to the mobile phone I went to pay the service for. So in actually, I paid twice for the month of September and remember the service to the cell phone was on and working properly."
