Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"First of all I have changed my password twice in two days (02/08/2015 and again 02/10/2015. Each time I have change it, the web site states that your password has been changed. However, when I try to log in if tell me that the password is wrong this is very frustration when you are trying to keep up on your account with this company. I have asked Merrick Bank for an increase on several occasion and each time it was not raised, yet when I applied for my benefits for involuntary employment where the company pays your account for 12 months, they raise the credit limit at this point that way the interest increase keeping you in the hole. When I received this card and the involuntary employment was offered it was stated that they would handle all paper work for this action. Yet, when you call the company to activate the plan Merrick Bank tell you that they have nothing to do with the activation, that you as the customer is responsible to get the plan activated. I called Merrick Bank on 02/08/2015, in reference to a payment being credit to my account for the PAYS PLAN and I gave the representative the check number and she stated that they had not received the payment yet, then she states that since the payment was due on 02/09/2015, and Merrick Bank had not received it I may have a late fee charged on my account. How can this be when Merrick Bank offers you the Plan for protection. So, I have been trying to log in and see if the payment has been posted and again, I cannot get into my account. Also, I received a letter on 12/16/2014, that and I quote: We are issuing you a refund of certain fees, payment shortfalls, and finance charges in the amount of $234.25 ("REFUND") related to your enrollment in the PAAYS Plan (Plan"). The credit for the Refund will appear on your next statement as "PAYS REFUND." This was December 16, 2014, that I received this letter. So, I never saw the credit posted to my account, so I called the company and they states that the REFUND was posted in November of 2014, how can that be when I received the Letter in December of 2014 and the letter states that it would be credited to my account on the next statement which should have been January 2015. I am very disappointed in the service that this credit card company issue out, I see why they have so many complaints against them."
