Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"In the summer of 2015, we had a privacy fence installed in our back yard with one gate with a non-locking latch. This was contracted out by Lowes to Fence Authority. The fence cost $9,000. and has been paid in full. Four times since it was installed we have had to have the installers come and fix the latch which never closed properly. The latch would pull away from the vinyl and hang loose. On November 14, 2016, I notified Lowes that it was again loose and they said they would send someone to fix it. On November 19 and 20 we had 70mph winds which blew away the latch onto the ground. I made many calls to both Lowes and Fence Authority with no resultant action. Around December 15, 2016, I was notified by Lowes that I needed to pay $422. for parts and labor because they were considering the latch removal an act of God. I used my Lowes charge and paid and they informed me the equipment had come in on December 21, 2016. Here I am now on December 29, 2016 with no gate repaired, two dogs who have to be gated by cinder blocks and most annoyingly I am in a wheelchair and have to remove all those blockades to get out. No one tells me when or if they are coming to fix the fence. I need help and quickly."
