Claimant says:
"I was an employee for Local Edge, I had been hired to maintain lawns around the area. I received my first check, and it was fine. The next pay period I was shorted by 25 hours. I asked the owner about it, he said he would have his accountant ( His Wife ), look into it. Of course I didn't go into work the next day. He never got back to me. I texted him this morning and asked him when I could pick up my final check, he said that the last check I received would be the final check. I had expected to be at least paid for the hours I worked. He also is filing a false claim for some equipment that was damaged, a trailer that was just bent, another employee and I fixed the trailer. He is also a bad business owner because he said "that backyards are not as important as front, so you can cut corners when you can," does that sound like a landscape company you can trust? He also discriminatory called me names as "Homosexual, and Fag" which I am not as I am married with children."

  • As a business owner he asked me to drive his trucks with no Drivers Lic. He also can be subjected to fines by the IRS for not taking taxes out of his employees checks.
