Claimant says:
"We bought a 95 Ford Mustang that was for sale at Lane's Pole barn. 33655 Us Highway 12. Niles, MI 49120 (574) 302-3547 on 8/26/16. He said he was selling it for his girlfriend. When we took it for a drive, it ran pretty good except we had a hard time getting past 2nd gear. When we asked him about that, he said that a young man owned it before his girlfriend and had put a shift kit on the car to rev it up more. He also said that the lowest his girlfriend would take is $1600.00. We bought it and our daughter drove it for 2 days and when she backed out of the garage a large bolt was on the ground. We took her car to a repair place we usually use and he said that it looks like the bolt broke off of the crank shaft pulley bolt broke off. He said "I have never seen that happen before" and also said "It looks like there is glue on this bolt like it was glued back on". Well.... we knew that involved the transmission and took the car to a transmission specialist and I will attach what all he had to do to the car.

I feel used and lied to by someone who supposedly works on cars to sell. By the way he has another car up for sale now."

  • Is this a joke? I let my friend put her car in front of my house for sale for free I didnt make any money . I in no way ever worked on it or knew of any problems other than the hard shift into 2nd which she and I fully disclosed to you before buying this vehicle and it was sold as is

  • If the responding party isn't responsible for the sale, then he needs to refer the claim to the person who is. I don't understand why he hasn't done that.

    I don't really understand the comment about the shift kit. Is there one on there or not? If there isn't, then it would appear that the car was sold by deception.
