Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Holland America Line (HAL) will not refund our deposit of $3,500 because they said we did not have cancellation insurance when we had been told by their agent Renee (wouldn't give last name) that cancellation insurance would be purchased when the balance of $20,000(+) cruise total fee was paid. We were given to August 31, 2017 to cancel without penalty or fee by Renee and cancelled on August 29, 2017, who confirmed this with our AAA travel agent, Tiana Verdejo, and documented by AAA on that date of August 29th. HAL agents have made numerous mistakes during this process and we provided a physicians letter prohibiting travel this year as I suffered a heart attack this past year. I could provide full documentation and HAL responses if necessary. HAL has already sold the suite to other passengers and will steal our $3,500 as pure profit. We declined an offer for a future cruise deposit as we will not deal with this awful company again."
