Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On 1/21/15 2 technicians from GDS Garage Door Service Co. (www.garagedoorservice.com) came at the end of their time window and did a poor installation on my garage door after one of them spend about 30 minutes in my bathroom. Looking back, I think he was doing drugs in there. I called the company and spoke with the manager who promised to come and fix the un-level rails and loose doors. He came at the end of his time window on 1/23/15 and straightened the railings and adjusted the garage door opener. He still had to come back to replace a bent top panel I had already told them about. On 1/26/15 he came and replaced the bent panel, but door was still just not right. By March the panels were separating from the styles and the opener was not opening the door all the way every time. I had to call 3 times, but finally the manager had to come back and take pictures (another 4 hours waiting) on 3/10/15. I called them to complain 8 times about the garage door not opening all the way. He came back on 3/18/15 and made some adjustments to the opener. After that they finally agreed to replace the flimsy garage door. A technician came on 3/24/15 and replaced the garage door due to total of 3 broken panels since the January installation. On 3/26/15 they were supposed to replace the garage door opener between 9-12 but completely stood me up. I called several times, spoke to manager and technician dispatcher (who actually told me he tried to call me 25 times). Then, after I leave, I get a call at 3:00 from a guy saying he would be there in 15 minutes. There was no way I could get back, so it was re-scheduled for 3/30/15. I was stood up again. This time when I called to complain I was told by the manager that the service technician closed the invoice. Now I can't get them to come back out and replace the brand new garage door opener that doesn't open the door completely every time. It's supposed to be under warranty. The manager I most recently spoke to was the rudest of all of them, but they have all been rude and tried to swindle more money out of me for work that should be covered under warranty. I have been complaining about the garage door not opening all the way since it was installed. By standing me up twice, they are clearly telling me they are dishonoring the warranty."
