Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"We purchased a Dell Inspirion Touch 23.8 full HD touch screen 8 GB windows 10 all in one desk top computer with Microsoft office 365 personal window Mac 1 year subscription plus we purchased the 3 year warranty from fingerhut ordered it on 02/21/2017. We were out of town wen it showed up at our home. my sister in law was coming over every day to feed the animals and bring our mail in. she called and told us that our computer was there and there were two holes in the box it came in. when we returned home we opened up the computer box and the screen had shattered in left bottom side  and pieces were missing plus it had 4 to 5 cracks going across the screen and a couple of smaller cracks on left side bottom I sent it back to fingerhut. Spoke to Susan and she said the 30 day warranty was up but the manufacturer's warranty was good and she gave me Dells phone number I explained to them what had happened they say they are not responsible for the damage. we paid almost a 1000.00 dollars for dell the guy I spoke with would not put the supervisor on. I have been going back and forth with both companies for 2 weeks. Dell said they would fix it for 234.00 cost for shipping and handling and to replace the screen, they were very rude. I told them why do I have to pay for something I did not damage? I asked again for the supervisor and they hung up on me they said fingerhut is responsible and they say dell is."
