Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I have been a seller for Amazon.com for over 1 1/2 years now. I have sold several items and I have done a very good job. I have only a total of 80 people who gave me feedback. Unfortunately, most of the people who file are the ones that only want to complain. And, one thing that I had happen was someone ask me if I wanted to pay them to give back positive feedback so some people are taking advantage of doing it that way. That is not what I am about.

Nonetheless, I had two people who wanted to return and I took care of both of them. I talked to Seller Support at Amazon.com. The lady told me exactly what to do and I followed her directions and refunded a partial refund. Then Amazon.com sends me a threatning/nasty letter a couple of days ago. They told me that I hadn't handled it properly and they have taken money out of the money that is due to me and they are putting it back on reserve. The lady lied to me (Deanna Tyree) about the item that she purchased from me. First she told me that it was cheap and it was not any good. I told her I was told that I was to give a partial refund of $7 (per Seller Support at Amazon.com) or I would get her a replacement and that was when she confessed they she there was nothing wrong with the product but she really had wanted something else.

Amazon didn't look at my actions and they refunded a total of $15. After I checked things out I told them that they had not handled the situation correctly because I had taken care of the situation. Therefore, they decided to give her $8 out of the account and then they decided to taken a total of $15 and put it on reserve. I am not going to be treated as if I am a criminal. I did what I was told and they didn't check my actions but are hold money back from me.

I asked for this to be put back in my account today. I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Chris and he told me that he could not do anything. I also questioned about money being taken out of my account this week beginning on Sunday, March 10th but I didn't get an answer. I believe that they took more money (possibly the $8) out of my account. So they have taken $15 and $8 out of my account, plus I took out the $7 (for Deanna Tyree). They are doing this to me because a mistake that they made. Chrissy (was the Seller Support lady) that I spoke to that granted me permission to only $7 as a partial payment.

I am going thru an extremely stressful time and this is making everything that much more worse. I am an ethical person and I do not like being treated like a criminal. I have been lacking money (as I have been held up in a divorce for over 2 1/2 years) and I can't afford for mistakes to be blamed on me when they are not my fault but Amazon's.

I hope that you will make them stand good for their error. If they want this customer to have a total of $15 then they need to put my money back and take it out of their expenses because they made the error. Then they need to take my $15 out of reserve and put it back into my account. And they owe me an apology. I have done a lot of business for them and they have received my 20% and made plenty of profit off of me.

I hope that you will stand behind me in this situation and understand that I did my part but Amazon made an error and took it out on me. I know it is a small amount but when I am pinching pennies than the money means a lot to me. I can't afford being mistreated due to their error.

Thank you, Carol"
