Enter the name of the party against whom the claim was filed. (The name is located on the notification you received).
Begin by explaining what happened (We make it easy to add any supporting info you have.)
Decide what you want from the other party-either monetary or non-monetary, or both.
The other party may accept or reject your terms, or offer new ones. You can modify your terms at any time.
The claim closes when either side accepts an offer. Unresolved claims post publicly, so there is strong incentive to settle.
PeopleClaim helps consumers, patients, employees and others resolve disputes by exposing bad business and unfair treatment.
PeopleClaim is an easy and effective, online dispute resolution process that gives you powerful tools to negotiate the best settlement for any type of dispute or complaint.
If you've selected the public posting option, they will be given a minimum of 10 days (more at your discretion) to respond and satisfy your claim. If the claim isn't resolved, it will post for public review and comment. (Your name and personal info are not included in public posting.)
The other party can accept, reject , or make a counteroffer . They can also request more information from you, or can ask for an extension of the public posting deadline.
(PeopleClaim grants an automatic extension of three days, but after that it's up to you to grant any additional time before posting.)
If your claim isn't resolved by the posting date, don't worry. Many claims are resolved only after public posting.
The power of numbers: your claim gains strength as more people post claims against the same party. Consumers use PeopleClaim to get information about product or service providers, and can see the number and types of claims filed against any business or professional.
You can also ask your Facebook friends to support your claim by clicking the Support button on the posted claim. In addition, your claim will be added to our claim alert system, which alerts people by email about claims in their area, or claims related to an industry type, company, or other keywords.
Once you and the other party agree on terms, the claim is settled and a binding online agreement is created. If the other party doesn't fulfill the agreement terms you can re-post your claim on PeopleClaim or seek enforcement in court.
Remember: you control when your claim is resolved and under what terms. If your claim posts, it remains posted and can be found by search engines until you're satisfied with the resolution you've negotiated.
If you resolve your claim outside the PeopleClaim system, please be sure to visit your claim Response page to mark it settled so that it can be removed from PeopleClaim registry of posted claims.
If you select the "copy my claim to regulators" option, PeopleClaim will research which regulators, media, or watchdogs are most relevant to your claim and notify them of your problem.
Response from regulators varies. You may receive direct contact from a regulatory body or they may simply add the complaint to their files for future action.
Either way, adding this option can show the other party you're serious and can help with your resolution.
