I feel this is a fraudulent practice because this is not mentioned when the contractual agreement is being engaged with the consumer. This lack of disclosure costs the consumer staggering costs if this practice is universal which I am sure it is. The unwilljngness to remove all of these unwanted texts by Sprint is unethical. I have never had a late bill with my Sprint cell phone account until they started allowing these texts to be billed to my phone. This money making scheme needs to stop. Last year my phone broke so I Purchased a new phone, never being told if I did this I would be under contract with them till 2013. Then my granddaughter got my phone and when I tried to get it from her she threw it and it broke. So in February through the insurance and $100.00 I was sent a new phone. After recieving this refurbished phone, I complained at least every month by phone or at the place of business in Clackamas or on the computer because the phone would not let me make phone calls, each time asking for a different phone, one that would work as advertised. Each time I was told "oh don't worry it's all fixed now" and each time I went home and still had the same problems. It got to the point that I stopped trying to get online with my phone because it never worked, but the final straw was on Aug. 8 when it would not let me make any phone calls (this had happened before also). I went to the company store on *82nd in Clackamas and told them the problem they told me I could just buy a new phone.... I asked What kind of incentive did they want to give me to keep my business with them since I had had no satisfaction for the last 6 months. They told me like anyone else I could buy the new phone with them. I was angry and went to AT &T purchased my new phone. AT&T called Sprint while I was standing there to tell them I was transfering over to them. I just recieved a bill for early termination and a bill for the whole month of August. when I called questioning this bill they told me it was because I myself didn't call and tell them I was cancelling my phone and so they continued to bill it as a familiy plan with only my daughters number on there. Also I was being charged early termination because I was supposedly under contract with them until 2013. I told them I should not have to pay because I had complained about the phone for 6 months and constantly asked for a different phone that would work, and nothing was ever done to fix the problem.I refuse to pay what I don't owe, so now they are trying to make my daughter pay.* ...less

Customer: They refuse to send the phone back...telling me I need to purchase another one and reactivate the account before 45 days past 7/24 comes. Customer: Why should I have to purchase another phone when you have my phone. Customer: I got the line because I needed it.
