Claimant says: In February 2012 a salesman misrepresenting himself as an agent of the local phone book Berry Yellow Pages phoned my business regarding my yellow page ad. He said that billing must be taken care of today or the cost would be significantly higher. My wife told him she was not authorized to deal with purchases but she agreed to let him send the billing and asked for a phone number so that I, owner of the business, could contact him. My wife immediately called me on my cell phone and gave me the number to contact the agent. The phone number was incorrect and I did not receive any billing or invoice for the service before today. I received a phone call today (6/20/12) from a collection agent, David Reid who in turn faxed me a bill that I had never received and informed me that if the money was not collected it would go on my credit rating.* ...less
