DOUG, THE TECHNICIAN, TOLD HER IT DIDN'T MATTER SHE DIDN'T HAVE A CHECKING ACCOUNT. I INFORMED HER OF THE PROMOTION, SHE SAID IT DIDN'T MATTER. AFTER MUCH BICKERING, SHE THE TALKED WITH A SUPERVISIOR WHO STATED SHE WOULD GIVE HER $15 OFF HER BILL FOR 1 YR. LEAVING HER A BALANCE OF 9.99. SHE INSTRUCTED ME TO HAVE MY NIECE CALL SINCE IT WAS IN HER NAME. WHEN SHE CALLED SHE WAS TOLD HER BILL WOULD BE 39.99 WITH THE 15$ CREDIT. THEY ARGUED FOR 20 MINS. TO NO AVAIL. I THEM CALLED BACK AND WAS TOLD THE SAME ABOUT THE PAY STATIONS AND THAT THE BILL WAS 24.99 WITH THE 15$ DISCOUNT. THIS IS A VISIOUS CYCLE WITH THEM NOT ABIDING BY THE PROMOTION. WE ARE QUITE UPSET AND ARE NOW LOCKED INTO A 2 YR. CONTACT. SINCE THEY MISINFORMED US ABOUT THE PAY STATIONS, THE 15$/MO CREDIT FOR 1 YR. SHOULD MAKE HER BILL $9.99. I agreed to return the third old receiver I had. (Which I did in the middle of July). Now, DISH has charged my checking account for the two receivers not returned that are in the posession of the installer they hired to do the job. ...more

I called and spoke to erin who stated he spoke to his supervisor and charge is and will remain due. He stated I was charged State taxs on the returned boxs,that were origionally charged on my account in error and i needed to pay bill. I explained i shouldnt have to pay taxs on a billing error. He refused to correct the problem so the balance remains unpaid on my account,and so do the harrassing statements and calls every month. Also please note the actual taxs billed were $22.40 . I am not sure what the additional $8.68 is for. Please advise as they state the government requires this payment from the customer even though Dished billed the customer incorrectly. How many others are being charged these fees in error,and is this legal ????Thank You* ...less
