Claimant's opinion: My credit card company does not seem to be doing much. Between them and this company, I have spent hours and hours and a lot of money. I am the victim here and I feel like I am being treated like the criminal.
Claimant's opinion: The customer service has been horrible. I have been lied to over and over and over.The owner hung up on me.
Claimant's opinion: Because the part was defective and had to be removed, the car was unable to drive until I got a replacement for this defective part. This company www.steeringpart.com did not have any more of the parts I needed in stock, and did not expect any for 1-2 weeks. Therefore, they advised me to go elsewhere and just return the defective part for a full refund.
Claimant's opinion: Whether they were aware of it or not, they sent me a defective part. I followed exactly what they told me to do to return the part. I was assured by the owner and two other managers that I would be credited for the part upon its return. When I tried to discuss with the owner the other costs I had incurred, he hung up on me. A couple of weeks after I returned the part, I called and had it verifed that they had received the part back and I was assured that my credit card would be credited within 72 hours.
Claimant's opinion: I have submitted 7 pages of information to my credit card company, HSBC and they still do not feel this is enough information. I have spent several hours dealing with the company, detailing all the communications, etc. and spent $187 on a defective part, $273 to have this defective part installed and removed and an additional $130 for a rental car. Thus far the company www.steeringpart.com aka Sam Rack & Pinion & Axles, has not had it cost them a dime. They have the defective part back that I'm sure they will repair or not and send to someone else, and I am our hundreds of dollars.
