"He's part owner of "Rivera Contruction".. His wife (Elvia Corina Rivera) apparently owns the company.. They are out of Dallas, TX .. 15404 Long grove st. 75253..

We recently hired this guy for some contract work out in Seabrook, TX the 2nd week of March 2014.. We paid half up front and from our understanding he was to begin the very next day. He kept calling and saying there was no porter potty so he couldn't start?? Then he called and said he couldn't rent the equipment to do the job because his license didn't match his credit card!!?? So I give him a couple days to resolve this issue.. He still can't and asks us to rent the machine for him and he'll deduct it from his pay.. His job was to put 34 wood pilings into the ground in a weeks time.. He worked a total of 4 days with 4 extra workers and put in ONLY ONE!!!! I'm mad at this point because we actually had trust in this guy to do the job.. We gave him so many chances and then we finally had to let him go because he was wasting our time and money.. After the let go, OF COURSE!!! he doesn't want to pay any of the money back.. He says that his work was just how the plans say but the inspector of the city and all the neighbors had a very different opinion! There actual words were they were afraid if he continued that the house would fall down?? But he did the job right? I hired the contractor I originally wanted and he worked 3 days and finished the job the RIGHT WAY!! I am now out $2073 for the equipment I rented and $2550 (check to his name) for the initial half.. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!! THIS GUY IS BAD NEWS!! and an amateur at putting pilings!! He could of been honest from the beginning and said he doesn't know how to put pilings in and just stuck with the framing job! He's dodging my calls and doesn't want to pay for his screw up.. I have pictures of him and his guys working on my property and eye witnesses of the "danger" he put his workers in.. I was going to let about $1000 slide and call it a loss while recouping at least $4000 to continue the project but now I want ALL my money back!! and I will pursue this matter legally with my Attorney.."
