Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"3 years ago I had Sunrise do landscaping At my home. This was new lawn with irrigation back and side yards, New plants (many), A water feature. After about 6 months I complained there was a leak. I made numerous calls complaining. Finally the man who built the water feature came and looked but did not fix. I can not run the pumps constantly or waste too much water."

    I was really glad to talk with you today. I know you loved your project when we were done and you are a valued customer of Sunrise. We agreed we had been out several times and that the leak is a fairly simple fix. However; we offer a one year warranty and it has been 3 years or more since your project. I am glad you decided to let us fix the leak that developed naturally possibly due to intense winter freezes or other natural elements not connected with any installation quality issues. I am sorry the leak is costing you high water bills. We have offered you to schedule us to fix it for $30.00 an hour (a discounted labor rate for us of over 50%), plus materials, because we value your past professional relationship with us. We are glad you did not decide to remove the water feature and undo the beautiful work we did at your cost. With the leak fixed you will again enjoy your lovely feature and your smaller water bill. We apologized for lack of follow up in the past couple months. We are in our busy season and a smaller company so coming out for free on out of warranty projects during business hours is always a challenge.... However; we should have followed up better and kept our appointment last night to come and resolve it. This was discussed with the employee that made the appointment.

  • Yesterday (16 Sept,2014) my wife (Donna) received a phone call from Sunrise. They told her they would repair the leak Friday Sept 19,2014. I agreed to pay 1/2 the labor cost.

  • Sept 15, 2014, 3 men from Sunrise came at 11:30 and worked on the water feature. 12:00 the took a lunch break for 45min, then resumed work Finishing at 2:00. Hopefully they have fixed the leak.

  • Sept 15, 2014 3 workers from Sunrise came and worked on the leaky water feature. They apparently have fixed the leak as of today Sept 19 there does not appear to be leaking.

  • Your discounted bill was mailed and the leak was resolved. Please mark this claim resolved. Thank you.

  • To get the leak in the water feature fixed, I agreed to pay 1/2 the labor cost.3 men arrived worked for 2 hours and left. It was not in original condition but seemed to stop leaking. The bill was for 6 hours at $30 per hour. I sent a check for $15 per hour. There was no material used.

    Owner refused ck 3016 for $101.44. Mailed back Voided ck with Voided Invoice. Customer reduced, the reduced ck by half. (Equal to half of what was agreed on. Agreed on half of normal rate. Effectively he reduced to 1/4 of the normal rate which was not the agreement and without talking to us first.Refused to pay material of $80.00. (Was purchased) Wanted to pay $15.00 per hr instead of $30.00. Regular hourly rate is $60-$70.00 per hr. Sent ck back with refusal of future service. Work done. Problem resolved. LVM 10.8.14

  • Your bill of 9/26/14 said :quote "3 guts 2 hrs each @ $30.00 per hour. I then assumed 1/2 of that at $15.00 was my agreed upon price. I did not know your (unbeliveable) price was $60.00 per hour. I watched the man that designed and built the feature do the work. # 2 man did some assistance. The 3rd man just observed. I never saw any material used except my water. To settle this I will pay you $180.00 for labor plus$15.75 for tax. There was no material used. This should have been done in first year.
