Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I signed a contract with the above for delivery of my home contents to Littleton, CO. Delivery was promised by Brooklyn Relocation August 15th or 16th. As of today, goods have not arrived nor can anyone tell me when they will. Note: The person with whom I spoke has been less than cooperative on the phone.

For your information, I went with this firm at your suggestion. You should know some additional information:
- The quote was given by phone and the price was increased by 20% ($600) when goods were loaded for delivery at Stamford UHaul.
- When I called to confirm delivery information on 8/15, no one could tell me when delivery would occur, or where the truck was en route. Note: On a subsequent call, I was told that the person with whom I dealt at Brooklyn had been fired.
- As of this mailing, I am without furniture, clothing or other household goods and have no idea when or whether my goods will arrive.
- Furthermore, I have incurred nothing but rudeness whenever I have gotten through to Brooklyn Relocation.

Note: I have involved Littleton, CO police (who I contacted at the suggestion of Brooklyn police), and they were told by Anthony at Brooklyn Relocation that their standard delivery time was 21 days. Surely , If I had known that, there is no way I would have chosen this firm for relocation, not to mention the shoddy customer service I have received re: delivery inquiries.

  • Unless a shipper requests and pays for a Guaranteed Delivery date, all deliveries are made within stipulated delivery windows from the 1st date the shipper is available to receive the items. Ms. Gaudet did not purchase the guaranteed delivery option so her delivery was based on the standard delivery window of up to 21 business days from the 1st available date which is considered Reasonable Dispatch by the US DOT. Any estimates on delivery were provided in good faith based upon the information available at that time. Delivery occurred on August 29, 2014 within 17 business days of her pickup and well within the stipulated time frame. We apologize for any difficulties Ms. Gaudet experienced while trying to obtain updates delivery. Ms. Gaudet has submitted a claim to our claim administrator which will be reviewed in accordance with the terms of our contract, the level of valuation coverage Ms. Guadet opted for and applicable federal law. Thank you.
