Claimant says:
"I contracted Jacobson Contracting to build me a mixed use investment property at 6795 Hylan Blvd. on Staten Island. The C of O was issued in 2007. The cost was approximately $800,000.00. Since the first year, there were several plumbing problems with leaks causing damage on all four levels of the structure, including the basement. There also were electrical central A/C problems in the two residential apartments, as well as grouting insufficiencies and improper materials used in construction. In addition, the asphalt parking lot had no gravel compacted beneath it, the drywell does not drain properly, and the whole parking lot is caving in with sinkholes. I have photos, notarized statements from the tenants, and receipts for repairs I had to make. Jacobson refuses to return my calls or make repairs."

  • The following claimant has tried to proceed in court with his false allegations resulting in a motion to dismiss. Attached is the document signed by the claimant Steven Fiorentino and filed with the Civil Court of Richmond County dated November 6, 2014 where he agreed to discontinue the matter with prejudice. Steven Fiorentino and People Claim are formerly being put on notice to consider this claim resolved and not to proceed with public postings defaming Jacobson Contracting, Inc.

  • I will be filing complaints with The Department of Consumer Affairs, The Better Business Bureau , Angie's List, and post complaints on Facebook and Twitter. Jacobson took my money, did an inadequate job, and now won't even return my calls. Ripoff artists!

  • I found out recently that although there were numerous construction defects from day one, the statute of limitations, 6 years, has expired, which is why I withdrew the claim. Jacobson has been ignoring my complaints well before the six years elapsed.
